The Foundation was created in order to continue the legacies of brothers Rick McDonald, a Sudbury Regional Police Officer,

killed in the line of duty in July 1999 and Dan McDonald, a correctional officer, who was tragically killed in a motor vehicle

accident in April 2007. Rick and Dan were committed to family, friends, community involvement, and their careers.

In order to continue Rick and Dan's legacies, out major fundraising event is our ANNUAL

'Rick and Dan McDonald Memorial Golf Tournament'

All proceeds from the tournament are donated to local children, youth and family charities.

The foundation also presents a yearly bursary to a worthy student from Cambrian College.

Our 2019 recipient is student Brandon Mackenzie.
